Greener Pastures in QC
The La Mesa Ecopark, located in Fairview, provides a quick getaway for those who want a quick escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Once you get to the entrance of the ecopark, it will seem that you are no longer in Metro Manila. The general area outside the ecopark reminds me of Mt. Makiling.
An entrance fee of P40 was due, probably for the maintenance and rehabilitation of the area. One can engage in various activities such as cycling, trekking(not much to trek though), fishing (there's a small fish pond), swimming (there are 2 swimming pools, but requires an additional fee of P60), picnicking and boating. Unfortunately, we weren't able to go boating because it was on the other side of the road, apparently. We didn't have a chance to go there (Mainly because we didn't know we could even enter that part).
Ozzie and I went inside the ecopark to take some pictures. Pictures taken were mostly of plants and flowers. Artsy-fartsy shots, as we call it. I borrowed Ozzie's Canon 350D for a few shots. He taught me a few tips. :) Thank you.
The park provides a nice and convenient place wherein families and friends could get together. A great place for people who would love to get away, but do not have the time to get out of Manila.
